Who in their right mind would fly 900 miles for ice cream?

The one thing I have never been accused of is being in my right mind!!!

Saturday morning - 11:00 a.m. - A chocolate Butterfinger shake!
 Sooooo gooooood!

Saturday eveing  - 8:00 p.m. - A cherry bon bon sundae and a turtle pecan sundae!
Soooo gooooood!
(I shared! a little)

Sunday morning - 11:30 a.m.   Another cherry bon bon sundae!
Sooooooo goooood!
Real black cherries, the best tasting hot fudge in the world,
along with the creamiest hand dipped ice cream you will ever taste.
My mouth is watering again!
Sunday evening - 7:30 p.m.  Another Butterfinger shake!
Soooooo goooood!
I savored every bite!
Yes they do have other flavors, but this is my all time favorite.
Thick, creamy - no ice crystals - made from hand dipped ice cream
with big chunks of Butterfinger candy bar.
I love getting to the end where there is just chunks of Butterfinger in my cup.
YUM YUM!
!
Empty!
This is such a sad picture!

As you can see this is the perfect ice cream for people with Parkinson's!

Oh and in case you are wondering,
I did eat other things on this trip.
I even managed to fit this in Sunday afternoon!

Also really good!

  1. You are....my hero! That all looks so amazing and I'm so proud of you for managing all of that:P

A better friend might warn your about the side effects of that much sugar, but I'm going to forget all of that and tell you of my envy lol.

  2. Great pictures and a great post. Whiteys Ice Cream can't be beat anywhere. I hope the rest of your trip was as enjoyable. Maybe next time you're in the area, we can meet. I'm sure I won't be in Alaska again....lol. I would guess that that piece of pie was either at Bishops or Perkins. Have a better day tomorrow. (Caring1) Dan

  3. Fay,
Is that all I had to do to be your hero? Geez, if I had only known that sooner! And thank you for not bringing up the sugar effect factor. Unfortunately - I am definitely feeling the effects this week! But it was sooooo worth it and I WILL do it again! Maybe next time I can work in lunch ice cream runs too. :)

  4. Dan,
Your right, Whitey's ice cream can't be beat - and we have looked. There is nothing that compares in my book. I would love to meet you and your wife next time. I am sorry we missed you, but I know you are having a wonderful time where you are at.

The pie was at Bishop's - so you know that wasn't the only thing I ate there. We also went to Iowa Machine Shed and had Harris pizza. Not bad for a 36 hour trip! I am so not getting on my scale any time soon!!!!
