One year ago, my doctor dropped a bomb on my life by saying one word! Parkinson's!
It's amazing how one word can change your life forever!
That one word blew my life as I knew it apart.
It changed me!
It has changed my life, my relationship with others, my focus,
my thought process, and just about everything else.
One word - one moment in time - and everything was changed - forever!
(possibly a little over dramatic - but you get my drift)

You are so right in that diagnosis changing your life forever. In knowing you however, you have not let it distroy you or your attitude. You fight it, you educate yourself, you're willing to try new things, and you have a support group to use when needed. Don't ever give up. Parkinsons can be a terrible disease, but in the scope of life, there are so many more that are much worse. Keep fighting. Hugs, Dan
ReplyDeleteAnd I have you Dan! You are a huge support and I thank you! You are so right about there being things so much worse. My aunt had MS and my grandmother had ASL. I will take PD over those 2 any day.
ReplyDeleteSo, yeah my life as i knew it in many ways is gone, but my life as I know it now is not so bad either. Many of the changes are good things. Some times our world needs a bomb now and then to wake us up to what is really important - right? I gentle tap or shake would have been my preference though. lol
